We are passionate about providing quality mental health and primary health supports to those needing specialist care. Our founding RN’s are born & raised Hunter locals – this community is our family.

RN Plus provides a range of NDIS Supports and privately funded community nursing services. If you are looking for a service not listed on our website, please contact us for information.

Community Nursing Care

Our team of Enrolled & Registered Nurses are dual qualified, providing primary health care to those with complex mental health conditions. We are passionate about evidence-based practice and challenge you to find a provider who delivers a higher quality of care.

Supported Independent Living (SIL)

As an NDIS registered provider we offer supported independent living (SIL) arrangements for all participants. We offer specialist mental health care for those with complex health needs & can safely manage the most challenging behaviours.

Diabetes Management

Specialist nursing support delivered as a drop-in diabetes support service for those needing assistance managing blood glucose levels & administering injectable insulin. We will develop a diabetic management plan if you don’t have one and provide education for capacity building.

Wound Care

Our clinical nurse specialists value evidence-based practice & can promote optimal healing of chronic wounds, diabetic ulcers, pressure sores & more. We will perform a comprehensive wound assessment, develop a management plan and provide regular dressing changes.

Medication Management

Our RN’s can assist with both the supervision and administration of all medications; oral, IMI’s, Sub-cut, Depot’s, enemas as well as education. We can consult with your GP or specialist to develop and implement Emergency Medication Plans (EMP).

Mental Health Support

Mental health care is our passion – all of our nurses are dual qualified to provide clinical mental health assessment and recommendation. We have established connections with a range of healthcare providers and specialist practitioners in the hunter.

Complex Transfers

Local, Regional, Interstate and International Transfers. Our nurses can assist with complicated moves and transfers, including transport to and from ECT or medical appointments.

Community Access

ALL of our nurses are mental health trained and can provide a combination or clinical and social support. Thus includes complex transfers or transport.

We can assess your need for continence aids, provide recommendation and develop an individualised continence plan to address your specific needs.
